Vanessa Bryant widow of NBA Legend Kobe Bryant begins celebrations for her first major holiday without her husband and daughter Gianna.
The 37-year-old shared a touching video of hers and Kobes daughters, Bianka, 3 and Capri, 9 months, opening an Easter Egg with candies, gifted by floral designer Jeff Leatham. Vanessa and Bianka used a small wooden mallet to crack the giant egg open, which was filled with treats for the young ones.
Bianka could be heard excitedly saying, "Chocolate, Chocolate!"
she's goes on to ask her mom, "Mom can I eat it?" "Yeah, baby bites, though," Vanessa replies. The video comes only three months after the tragic loss of Kobe and Gianna Bryant, to a fatal helicopter crash in Calabasas, California along with seven others.
Kobe has been announced to be inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame posthumously. Vanessa expressed her pride in Kobe's accomplishment in a somber tone, in an interview with ESPN alongside daughter Natalia. Vanessa went on to express how she felt Kobe would have probably been part of the 2020 Hall of Fame Class, but that opportunity was cut short because of the crash.
Kobe Bryant was one of the NBAs highest scoring athletes, completing total of 33,643 points during his career. He received the 2002, 2007 and 2008 MVP award and made 18 all-star game appearances, lading him 4 All-star MPV awards. Kobe was also an Oscar winner, sports drink entrepreneur and mentor for the Mamba and Mabacita Sports Foundation (formerly Mamba Sports Foundation). âKobe was 41 years old at the time of his death.
